CNAME mobile website DNS instructions for BlueHost

It is possible to add the "m" to your domain name if you're a customer with BlueHost

To make this work please add a CNAME record to your domain name so visitors can be redirected to your mobile website. And please replace the word example.com with your own domain name.

 

Add the "m" to your domain name

Add to your DNS the following CNAME record:

m.example.com CNAME lb.site.mobi

m.example.com is your mobile website
www.example.com is your PC website

LB in lb.site.mobi stands for Load Balancer of our mobile cloud platform.

 

DNS instructions for BlueHost - Creating a CNAME

 

  1. Log into your Bluehost Hosting Account
  2. Select the DNS Zone Editor icon in the Domains section
  3. Select the domain you’re modifying from the drop-down box
  4. Scroll down to the heading named Add DNS Record
  5. In the Host Record field, enter the letter  m  (for m.yourdomainname.com)
  6. Leave the TTL field at it’s default setting
  7. Select CNAME, from the drop-down labeled Type
  8. In the Points To field, enter lb.site.mobi
  9. Click on the Add Record button to create the record

Summary: add m.example.com CNAME lb.site.mobi TTL 14400
